How to Fix a Water Damaged Phone

Almost all of us have phones and we take care of it because it was a part of our daily lives. But what are you going to do if your phone can fall into the water?
Here are my simple instructions on how to repair a damaged water phone using available and inexpensive features.

How to Fix a Water Damaged Phone

Things you will need:

1. Thinner (which you can buy at your local store)
2. Screwdriver (mainly from a T6 screwdriver for most mobile phones)
3. Towel or a piece of cloth
4. Paintbrush or toothbrush
5. Blower or hair dryer

Procedures on how to repair your cell phone

First, disassemble your phone (you can request a blog from me which model is your phone and I'll do a blog on how to disassemble your model)

Then remove the sensitive parts like LCD, camera and other parts that more subtle damage. most of them are plastic materials

Then place the PCB of your cell phone in a bowl and pour in lacquer to the PCB board is fully submerged.

(Lacquer is the solution must be used because dry quickly absorbs moisture and resides in the parts of the carton)

After submerging the card into thinner wait for 5 to 10 minutes until the board absorbs the finest.

Then use the brush or toothbrush to clean the table. Do not use excessive force when cleaning the tray. Just enough force to carry only the remaining dirt and moisture on the card.

After cleaning the card, wipe it with a piece of cloth and use a fan to dry everything. Make sure the card is completely dry before you mount the phone.

Then mount the cell.

One way to check if your phone is not short is to use a tester. A tester is the best too; For the test. What you can do is put the X1 resistor selector tester then put the positive terminal of the tester to the positive terminal of the connector of the mobile phone battery and negative to the negative terminal of the battery. the needle should not move if your phone does not have a short circuit.

If there is no more short circuit in the phone, put the battery in the phone and ready to use.
